VideoGamesVault.com gives gamers the tools to manage their game collections!
There was a time when your game collection could fit on a shelf, but the modern video game scene is more complex than that. PC games are digital for the most part. The bulk of your collection is likely on Steam, but you may have games on Uplay and Origin too. Then there are the digital and physical exclusives from the consoles, such as the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo NX. Many of you also collect ROMs and have to organize them across different emulators and devices.
Our video game collections becoming unwieldy was what gave us the idea for the Vault. Think of it as a sophisticated checklist that you can use to keep track of the games you own and those you’d like to. You can track the platform of your digital games so that you know you purchased Far Cry Primal direct from Ubisoft but Watch_Dogs 2 via Steam. You can also track physical games so that you know Quantum Break for Xbox One is on your shelf, Last of Us for PS3 is in the closet and Crackdown 2 for Xbox 360 is in storage.
Filter, Sort and Search
You can also search your personal Vault based on game name, genre, platform, device, storage location and many other criteria. The system also includes sophisticated filtering and sorting options. Planning to trade your Wii U in to purchase that new NX? Make a list of all physical Nintendo Wii and Wii U games you own so that you know exactly what you should be bring to your local game shop.
Manage Your Backlog
As much as we gamers try to avoid them, backlogs are inevitable. We promise ourselves to buy one game at a time, but then that next amazing Steam or Xbox Live sale comes along. Using our tools, you can mark games complete, prioritize incomplete games and even track achievements. You can also see average completion times as well as Metacritic scores, which can help you make decisions about which game to play next.
Identify Missing Games and Content
Our system also tracks games and add-on content like DLC and expansions, and you can use this information to make your personal Vault more powerful. If you own Uncharted 2 and 3 but not the first game, your vault will automatically show it as a missing game. If you purchased the Mass Effect Trilogy from EA, which unfortunately isn’t actually complete, our system will list your missing DLC.
Track Game Prices
We also have tools in place to track prices in digitals stores as well as retail stores that have an online presence. DOOM just released but maybe you don’t want to buy it at $60. Set your threshold at $30 and the platform and format of your choice, and our system will send you a notification when you can buy it for that. Our system does the same for add-on content, which makes it easy to deal with DLC that rarely goes on sale and is easy to miss when it does.
